Anti-Social Behaviour In South Wales: (2) Thematic Review Of Anti-Social Behaviour For South Wales Police
Funder: Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales and South Wales Police
A Thematic Review was conducted by the Universities’ Police Science Institute of South Wales Police’s approach to managing Anti-social Behaviour. The Review was commissioned by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales and South Wales Police. The review focused on seven key areas, including police and partner approaches to identifying and supporting repeat and vulnerable victims; demand and performance across the force; victim satisfaction and confidence and a review of policy and processes within the police force and social housing sector.
A multi method research design was adopted to achieve the aims of the review using a range of data: the Crime Survey for England and Wales at force area level; police incident data; semi-structured interviews with a range of stakeholders; documentary and case study analysis. Key developments and trends over the last five years in the South Wales Police response to anti-social behaviour are reported along with the prevalence and distribution of ASB and the quality of service provided to victims.
