Funder: Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Medical Research Council (MRC) and Alcohol Research (ARUK)
The aims of the ELAStiC project are to:
- to determine pathways into alcohol use and misuse and the life-course effects of alcohol misuse on health and well-being
- to access existing longitudinal data and link them with routine health and administrative data and to develop statistical methods and modelling techniques to analyse and interpret them
- to understand the impact of varying definitions of alcohol use on outcomes
- to produce multi-disciplinary outputs which are relevant to academics, policy makers and practitioners and challenge harmful alcohol use in the UK and the world.
